Other Information: After completeing my residency training I spent four years on active duty in the United States Air Force. During that time I serve extensively overseas including a deployment as Chief of Staff of a military hospital at Prince Sultan Air Base, El Kharj, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I also served with the White House Medical Unit and accompanied President Bill Clinton to The Middle East Peace Conference, Sharm el Sheik, Egypt October 2000. Following my Honorable Discharge, having attained the rank of Major, I settled in Biloxi, MS and private practice. My house and practice were a complete loss in hurricane Katrina's wake. I relocated 250 miles north to Starkville after the storm and am again practicing orthopaedic surgery. I am Medical Director of the Oktibbeha County Hospital Trauma Center. I am still single and have no children. I maintain fairly close contact with Tim Phillips and Deron Farina. Hope everyone else is well.
Rick's Obituary:
On october 7, 2017 there was a celebration of life for Ricky. The program stated that a memorial fund has been set up at the Shriner's Hospital for Children. It said that those children had a special place in his heart. If anyone would like to send a contribution in Rick's name, Here is an online link for donations. Marty Jo (Tucci) Hurlbut Age 55 of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully after struggling with a long term illness, on January 21, 2021. Beloved wife of Robert N. Hurlbut, III. Loving step-mother of Bobby (Jennie) Hurlbut. Proud grandmother of Rori Hurlbut. Sister of Patti (the late Kenneth) Tucci Hurlbut and Sandra (Richard) Tucci Janus. Also survived by her father-in-law, Robert N. Hurlbut, Jr., sister-in-law, Belinda Hurlbut; devoted cousin, Mary Kay Antonelli; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly. Preceded in death by her father, John Joseph Tucci; mother, Marion (Pugh) Tucci; sister, Kimberly Tucci Henry; and mother-in-law, Kathy Hurlbut. She previously attended the University of Pittsburgh in their Industrial Engineering program and was a proud UPS Supervisor for many years. Marty was a generous person who loved animals and helping the unfortunate. In her free time, she enjoyed writing, decorating her house, and spending time with her dog, Oshie and bird, Pretty Girl. Family and friends will be received Monday, January 25th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Bill's Obituary:
William Vincent Turlik, affectionately known as Bill, passed away on August 30, 2023, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 58. Born on November 4, 1964, in McKeesport, PA, Bill lived a life filled with love, dedication, and inspiration. Bill's journey began in McKeesport, where he attended McKeesport High School before embarking on his higher education. He pursued his dreams at Hawaii Pacific University and later at the University of Phoenix, where he earned his Masters degree. Bill's thirst for knowledge and personal growth was evident throughout his life. With a strong sense of duty and patriotism, Bill served his country in the Navy for 10 years. His commitment to serving others was a testament to his selflessness and unwavering dedication. On May 12, 1994, in Naples, Italy, Bill married the love of his life, Amber Turlik. Their union was a symbol of love, trust, and companionship that lasted for three decades. Together, they built a beautiful family and created countless cherished memories. As a father, Bill was a shining example of love and devotion. His children, Sammy and Holton, were the center of his world, and he embraced his role as a father with open arms. Bill's involvement in their lives was unparalleled, always there to support, guide, and encourage them. His loving and nurturing nature will forever be remembered by his children. Bill was also a devoted son to his mother and father Penny Turlik and the late Bill Turlik . Their bond was unbreakable, and his love for them knew no bounds. He cherished every moment spent with his parents, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Bill’s parents shaped him into the remarkable individual he became, instilling in him values of honor, integrity, and resilience. Beyond his military service and family life, Bill was a man of many interests and passions. In particular spending time with his children, fishing, hunting and traveling. He approached life with a sense of adventure, always seeking new experiences. All are welcome to attend and honor Bill's life and legacy, a time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM. Military Honors will be rendered at 1:30 PM, paying tribute to his service and dedication to his country. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to be given in Bill's name to any cancer prevention and treatment you choose. Bill will be remembered as a wonderful father, husband, and son, a man who embodied love, loyalty, involvement, hard work, and faithfulness. His impact on the lives of those around him was immeasurable, and his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew him. In this time of sorrow, let us celebrate the remarkable life of William Vincent Turlik, a man who inspired us all with his unwavering love, strength, and commitment. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his family and friends find solace in the beautiful memories they shared with him.
